Game Day Announcers(10/31-2/5) These individuals will seek out volunteers in the community and RRHS to be our Home Varsity Game Announcer. Ideas: broadcast journalism students, sportswriters for school news, teachers or principals at RRHS, students who may have podcasts, etc.

Teacher Appreciation Night  ( Dec 15 - TUES) The volunteers will help to set-up teacher night on the designated home game date.  Duties include collecting small donations or purchasing gifts for giveaways/prizes for raffle at halftime, organizing half-time 3-point contest or knockout, or other fun activity to get teachers involved, having a poster sign that reads "Thank You Teachers" and signed by players for a picture moment.  All ideas are welcomed.

Middle School Night  (Jan 8 - FRI) Coordinate efforts to welcome future Dragon basketball players to the designated Varsity Home game, helping build the pipeline for our women's basketball program.  Volunteers will help set up on the designated home date.  Duties: decorating sections for gym for the three feeder middle schools- Cedar Valley, Chisholm, Walsh, organizing half time 3-point contest, knockout, or musical basketball chair game, or any other fun activity to get middle schools involved, getting a picture taken of participants.

Halftime Show /National Anthem (10/31-2/5)These volunteers will find individuals/groups to sing the National Anthem at Home Varsity Games and to perform at Halftime.  Ideas: local school choirs, local dance troupes, RRHS student performers, etc.  Keep in mind 4 of the home games will have specific themes and the halftime will be already covered by that theme (see parent night, middle school night, senior night, teacher appreciation night).

Team Dinners: Looking for help with team dinners for district play.  Volunteers are responsible for organizing team dinners on Thursday evenings.  These dinners can take place in the home or at a restaurant.

Parent Night  (Jan 29 – FRI) These volunteers will help to set up Parent Night on the designated home game date. Duties include cards/flowers for parents, organizing pictures for parent/guardian(s) with players, organizing large group photos. All takes place approximately 30 minutes before the start of the game, so the team still has warm-up time. 

End of Year Banquet Committee (APR-TBD) These volunteers will be responsible for planning the End of Year Banquet in the Spring, including venue, catering, slide show, music, and decor. We have held our banquets in the past at Fern Bluff Community Center, and we can pass along the information.  Any other new ideas are always welcomed.

Senior Night  (Feb 5 - FRI) The volunteers will help set up senior night on the designated home game date.  Duties include obtaining write-ups for each senior on school/academic accomplishments, GPA, plans for after graduation, etc., helping to put together senior gift baskets or flowers.

Concession Stand  (10/31-2/5) Volunteers will head up concession stand operations for home games.  Duties include money handler, food handler, Pick up person for Bush's chicken sandwiches/sweet tea before games, Return deliverer for supplies back to Bush's chicken at end of game.

Game Day Meal Reps (11/3-2/5) For home games, we want to make meals available to the players.  These meals are pre-ordered and pre-paid by each player.  These volunteers will organize and manage these meals and the delivery of the meals to the school on game days.

Homecoming Parade  (9/23-WED) Homecoming parade is scheduled for September 23.  We will have two floats in the parade. One for JV/Varsity Teams and another for Freshman Team.  This committee will head up operations for assisting the players in building the floats once the theme has been decided upon, securing two trucks or flatbeds/trailers for the floats and players to ride on in the parade. 

Team Building Events  (OCT/JAN) We need a few volunteers to make this happen. Coordinate a place where teams can get together and have some fun off the court.  Ideas can be bowling, Activate, UT basketball game, etc.  Any ideas are welcomed.

Technology/Social Media  (10/31-2/5) These volunteers will help manage our social media site (@rrockwbb) during the basketball season/post-season and assist with any tech issues that may arise.
